PARTNER EMPLOYER AWARD
OTo encourage local enterprises (particularly SMEs) to demonstrate their corporate responsibility by hiring graduates of local technical institutes and universities, giving such graduates training opportunities and practical work experience so that they may learn and develop professionalism and positive working attitudes while bringing to enterprises a new approach to help them with long term personnel planning. The Hong Kong General Chamber of Small and Medium Business organized the first “Partner Employer Award” with the strategic support of the Vocational Training Council as well as support of more than 50 business associations.
Employers who provide graduates of local universities or vocational institutions with jobs or internship lasting at least 3 months are eligible to apply for this programme. Those employers who are accepted into the programme may be identified as a member and display the Partner Employer Award logo to demonstrate their support for local graduates by providing them with jobs or internships. This helps promote corporate responsibility efforts, and will not only help raise the employer's profile, but will help attract more young talents to help these employers with sustainable development of local talent.
